Sunset You-Pick Event
On Friday, July 19 I’m going to host my first ever You-Pick Sunset Event! For this event I have lined up to have Ben’s Backdraft BQQ food truck and Frozen Josie’s Ice Cream Truck set up at the flower field and customers can purchase food if they choose. Then you can bring a picnic blanket and enjoy a meal in the field with family and friends! There are no tickets to purchase prior, and you are not obligated to eat. If you prefer, you can simply purchase my $25 cup or $90 bucket and pick flowers until your vessel is full or it gets dark. You can also just roam the field for a $2 entry fee if you're not interested in picking flowers. I hope to have other flower related vendors set up at the field as well.
Grab-&-Go Bouquets Available at Barber's for the Season
August 1 is opening day for the 2024 apple season at Barber Orchard Fruit Stand. I will have fresh bouquets there daily until frost in October.
Mother's Day And tuscola prom Building Your Own Bouquet Bar
On Saturday, May 11 I will host my Mother’s Day Build Your Own Bouquet Bar, which was my most popular event last season. It will be held at Barber Orchards Fruit Stand where you can choose from all my precut flowers and make your bouquets as big as you like while paying by the stem. I will also have premade bouquets available as well.
Trees and Tulips Sale
We’ll be kicking off things with my annual Trees and Tulips Sale hosted at Barber Orchards Fruit Stand in Waynesville. Assuming that the weather is cooperative and the tulips bloom on time, I have it scheduled for the Saturday before Easter, March 30. You can purchase tulips for your Easter table and bare root, semi dwarf apple trees for your yard. This was a huge hit last year and I sold 75 trees in less than 40 minutes. This year I have purchased 200 trees which include Honeycrisp, Ginger Gold, and Golden Delicious. They’ll probably cost about $20-$25 per tree. You can also purchase any Barber Orchards jarred goods during this time.
Spring's Awakening Bouquet Subscription Begins
Four bouquets of all tulips beginning Tuesday, April 2, 2024. (This date is subject to if the weather delays the crop. I will keep your posted as we approach the date.) Your bouquets will be available pick-up for 4 consecutive weeks at Pioneer Supply in Waynesville. The pick-up dates will be for April 2, 9, 16, and 23. (Subject to change in the event of a crop delay.)
